About Us

The Abbeyfield Lancashire Extra Care Society Ltd

was formed in 1988, situated in the heart of the Ribble Valley, and has established a reputation for quality in Care Comfort and Companionship.

Georgina Marsden has managed the Home since its opening. Our dedicated staff are NVQ trained, professional in their approach, yet still retain a caring and friendly manner to understand, and attend to, our residents needs.

The society is an independent organisation and is affiliated to the Abbeyfield National Society. As such we are a registered charity.

The Committee which oversees the running of the House comprises of volunteers drawn from the surrounding area, with a mixture of professional backgrounds. All are dedicated to upholding the Abbeyfield ethos “supporting the highest standard quality care for the elderly members of our community.”
